Nelly Carolina Tejera, more popularly known as Carolina Tejera is still on Cloud 9. The TV actress got married earlier this year after a brief engagement to Don Stockwell, a music executive and businessman from the US. The wedding that happened on March 4, 2006 may very well be the biggest production in Carolina Tejera’s life.

The grandiose wedding was said to have cost over US$ 100,000. More than 800 invitations were sent by mail in January asking guests to participate in the wedding that was held in Costa Rica. The wedding was held over two days. A civil ceremony was held at the Marriott Hotel on March 3, while a religious ceremony was held the day after at the Basilica de Los Angeles. A festive wedding reception followed at the Intercontinental Hotel. Among the almost 1000 guests were big Latin stars - Ednita Nazario, Don Francisco, Raul de Molina, Lily Estefan and Puerto Rican beauty queen Cinthya Olavarría.

The preparations for the grand wedding went underway immediately after the couple got engaged in September 2005. Before their engagement, the couple had only known each other for over a year. As part of the wedding preparations, a wedding website was set-up for Carolina’s and Don’s friends and family, complete with a gallery of the couple’s favorite photos, gift registries and even hotel information for the wedding guests. On the website, a message from Don revealed, how he and Carolina consider themselves as "soul mates".

It was truly a wedding fit for royalty. And why shouldn’t Carolina and Don throw a lavish gathering to signify their love? Both have the financial resources to indulge in a luxurious ceremony - Don Stockwell is a businessman while Carolina is a successful TV actress. Carolina gained popularity for acting in Mexican soap operas also known as Telenovelas. Her equally successful husband is a record producer and owner of Tropix Records, the recoding company that launched Antifaz, the first international music album of former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. And it took a lot of talent, hard work and passion for the couple to reach the top of their games.

For starters, Carolina has always been interested in acting and at the tender age of three already started to hone her craft. Born on October 14, 1976, Carolina also studied ballet until she was ten years old and at age 17, already began her professional acting career. It’s been 13 years of hard work for this woman, so she really deserved the impressive wedding festivities. Aside from her TV dramas, Carolina has also been featured in fashion shows and magazine pages sporting glamorous and sexy outfits that complemented her fit and toned body.

A Venezuelan, Carolina is also popular in Columbia, Peru and Miami, because these are places she has worked in. Acting must be in her blood; Carolina’s mother is a Spanish theater actress, while her great grandfather was also into theater. Carolina was born to a Mexican father from Guadaljara.
